Port of Limburg is going to be a new inland harbour situated along the Albert Canal on the former Ford site in Genk. This 24-hectare site will be a dedicated container terminal with a total capacity of 353,000 TEU. In addition to standard container handling and transport, the port will offer an extensive range of value-added services and comprehensive solutions for container traffic. Port of Limburg is set to be operational by 2025.

FREQUENT MARITIME CONNECTIONS

Port of Limburg will offer very frequent connections to and from the maritime terminals in the ports of Antwerp, Rotterdam and Zeebrugge. Thanks to its location, Port of Limburg will serve as the ideal connection between the deep-sea ports and the hinterland.

LAST-MILE AND FIRST-MILE ROAD TRANSPORT

Port of Limburg will close your supply chain by offering road connections to and from the port terminal and your destination

VALUE ADDING
SERVICES

You will have access to a broad range of value-added services, such as customs activities, gassing & degassing, gas measurement, VGM weighing and stuffing & stripping.

TEMPERATURE-CONTROLLED FLOWS

Port of Limburg pays special attention to temperature-controlled container handling. By offering plenty of reefer capacity on its site as well as on its ships, it closes supply chain gaps for temperature-sensitive goods.

ISO-TANK
FACILITTIES

Going the extra mile for the chemical industry, Port of Limburg will offer ISO tank handling and storage facilities. With its on-site heating & filling installation, it can even fill end-user packaging.
